    4. How effectively was the concept of “green-ness” explored? Do you think that this student used the elements of value, texture and color effectively to enhance the concept, how did the branding of the song interplay if at all?

    Kyle,

You have effectively portrayed the concept of “greenness.” The images and text you used and manipulated/created all tie in together to show the importance of “going green” and “saving blue” (water). The textures you used inside of the text itself are a very nice touch; it looks very clean and enhances the overall image and the message as well. The bare sand looks incredible, very smooth and dry. (It portrays what will happen if we don’t conserve our water.)The different values of color used in the sky make the background image (downtown Dallas) look very desolate, which would be a consequence if we had no water left; great call on that.

The difference in value in the sand allows the viewer to see where light is coming from (the right). I personally like the contrast of color and use of texture, it all ties in together to convey your message; I really think you nailed it. Although you did not include any lyrics from the song (“I’m Yours” – Jason Mraz), which wasn’t mandatory, I personally believe the tune of it fits very well with your work. The mood of the song just matches the vibrancy of your composition; I love it. Great job!
